Basic Characteristics Minimal aluminum frames…

Up until now, large volume aluminium profiles were used as static element of window doors, so to cover large widths and heights. Today, minimal aluminium systems use tempered/security glasses which with their durability to direct hits, pressures and vibrations, offer the potential to use them as the main structural element of the windows, resulting in almost frameless transparent surfaces.

This allows the aluminum profiles surrounding the glass to be minimized so that they are only visible 20 mm in height between the sliding sheets.

With EXP minimal system, windows and doors can be easily integrated in exclusive villas, free standing houses, apartments, business complexes aiming at opening interior living spaces with unobstructed views to the outside.

Facing Width 20mm

The system offers a variety of system profiles configuration which are serving ideally the clean lines and balanced proportions of the modern contemporary architectural designs. EXP-36 system, with large-scaled double glazed tempered 8mm windows can be fully integrated into floors, walls and ceiling leaving visible only a slim leaf profile facing of 20mm.

Additionally, EXP-X System (tilt & turn) profiles with tempered glasses we can cover glass areas up to 3.5m² achieving heights up to 3.5 meters.

Pivoting doors and fixed elements profiles complete the system for limitless individual solutions in all constructions satisfying designer and client requirements.

Large frames such as that of the Zakynthos project, which are exposed to adverse weather conditions, are now possible.

Minimal design aluminium

Large openings of 5.0 meters in height can be achieved with 8mm double energy tempered glass and systems such as EXP .

The width of the frames now has to do only with the distribution of the sheets, adapting to one of the next two parameters. Single sliding sheet up to 12m² or sheet weight up to 600kg .

The high sliding quality (Watch Video) of the minimal frames is the reason why we can now easily drag frames at 600Kg . In EXP systems, the rolling is done on a solid stainless steel guide with a drive roller that can support up to 400 Kg each .

The perimeter profiles of the minimal frames can be integrated into the construction without protruding ( Invisible frames ). Also, the profiles where the rolling and the drainage of the water take place do not protrude from the level of the floor, unifying the interior with the outside space without height differences. Great security is also achieved through the ability to lock two, three or multiple locks depending on the application.

Large surfaces and spaces can have the greatest light transmittance and the greatest brightness since only the appearance of 20mm in height per leaf length (Less Frame) is visible.
